September is going to be busy for us! I'm very excited for our family vacation, although I guess I am using the word vacation loosely as we have many commitments and there will be no laying on the beach. We are headed up to Minnesota to visit family and friends September 4-September 13, with a few stops along the way. We are planning on spending the 4th in Wisconsin Dells at a fun hotel so Isla can enjoy the pool and it will help break up the drive for us. We'll spend the 5th-9th at my mom's retreat house, and then the 10th and 11th will be spent at my favorite Saint Paul Hotel for Lisa and Jon's wedding! Isla will get to spend the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa and Andy and I will get a fun weekend alone. Win win. Sunday the 12th we're going to head down to Winona and show Isla all around campus. We'll eat Winona Sandwich Company, go to Bubs for dinner, and possibly wander around Target just to be nostalgic. We will stay in a hotel that evening and head back to IL on Monday. I'm hoping to stop and see my good friend, Alison, in Madison on the way home. Needless to say I'm SUPER excited to see my friends and celebrate Lisa and Jon's wedding. Fun times.
The following Saturdays in September we have 2 big evenings! Andy, Abb, and I will be seeing Dave Matthews at Wrigley on September 18th and I am SUPER PUMPED! I haven't seen Dave since 2006 at the Target Center. I'm sure this will be way more amazing. The Saturday after that Abb, Anna, Jolene, and I will be seeing Chelsea Handler's comedy show downtown. Drinks and craziness will follow.
Looking back on the past year, I really haven't had many big nights out. Once Isla was born I became a bit of a homebody. I'm totally in the habit of staying in as much as possible, and I'm determined to break that bad habit. I'm home ALL DAY with Isla. I need to get out at night and have fun while I can :)

Wow, you have quite the fun trip planned! We are so thrilled that you guys will be able to be back here for our big day - seriously thrilled! I didn't know you were staying at the Saint Paul Hotel too - did you get our wedding rate (if the regular rate wasn't the same at that time)? Can't wait to see you!!
