Focusing on the Good.

I have felt like a complete raging biotch lately.  Andy left for Florida on Thursday for a quick business trip and coincidentally that is when my worse than normal PMS began.  Having no breaks from my fussy kid and raging hormones left me feeling quite angry and overwhelmed. My lovely friend, Jeannie, recently started blogging and she composed a list of things she is grateful for.  Instead of screaming and crying like I wanted to when Isla tore the house apart, threw her lunch on the floor, when I couldn't fit into a single cute shirt for Saturday night, etc, I would remind myself of things that I am grateful for.  It sort of worked, although I think screaming would have been more therapeutic :)  Anyway, here is my list:

I am grateful for:

1.  My beautiful, hilarious daughter.  Her smile and her silly fake laugh will always brighten my day.

2.  My husband.  He works incredibly hard so I can stay home with my Isley-butt.

3.  My squishy face doggy.  I especially love when she snuggles with me!

4.  My family.  It's great being part of such a wonderful, hilarious, kind family.  I love being around my family and spending time with them.

5.  My awesome friends!  I am especially thankful to have good friends in both Minnesota and Illinois (And in Iowa and Wisconsin...although I'm pretty sure Kate and Alison don't read this)!  I feel loved no matter where I live :)

6.  This beautiful fall weather!  Don't you feel much happier to be alive when you go for a walk on a sunny crisp day?!  I totally do.

7.  Mountain Dew.  Obviously we are BFFs.  Without my morning Dew, I would not be able to think clearly.

8.  My health.  I may be enormous, but I'm still alive and well.

9.  Fall TV starting up again!  Hello Office, Modern Family, Parenthood, OTH, and Glee.  I've missed you so much!

10.  My sense of humor.  Laughter is totally the best medicine.

Ok buddy, I have officially caught up on your blog. I've read about the good and the bad and feel much less stressed out and like a horrible friend now that I've caught up. I've got to say we have to go to that foot place when I come to visit. I am amazingly poor right now, but hopefully soon I'll take you up on your offer to visit. I hope things are going well for you and it was so wonderful to see you and Andy again. Love ya buddy!
