I just finished my 10th and final personal training session yesterday.
I have been caffeine free for 3 weeks and 2 days.
I started My Food Diary again to track my calories and exercise.
My hair loss has pretty much subsided.
My hair only takes 20 minutes not to dry and straighten. This is unheard of! Seriously. It used to take me at least 45 minutes. Clearly, I lost about half of my hair.
I have not lost much weight. Maybe 1-2 pounds.
It's super frustrating considering I rarely drink pop....maybe 2-3 of the small sprites per week...if that. I usually drink a G2 Gatorade after a workout, but that's nothing compared to the 3-4 Dews a day. You would think between the working out and the lack of calories/sugar I'd be losing weight.
I haven't measured myself in 2 weeks...maybe I'll do that tomorrow. I just don't see much of a difference anywhere and I'm working out 4-5 times a week...35-45 mins of cardio plus 2 days with 45 minutes of weight training on top of the cardio.
Seriously...what the heck man?!
I am starting to wonder if I have an alien creature living in my flesh fanny pack.
I have to go out downtown tomorrow night for Abb's birthday and I have nothing to wear. Can't wait to go jean shopping with Isla tomorrow morning! Wooo!
I just started shaving my legs with hair conditioner rather than bodywash or shaving gel. Totes love it.
We are gearing up for another Minnesota road trip. It's hard to get too excited when I know I'll be stopping every few hours, singing along to Barney and Yo Gabba Gabba dvds instead of my usual "road trip mixes", and putting up with the world's worst traveler, aka, Isla. Oh, did I mention my child SCREAMS and kicks in her carseat? Yep...it's fun.
We will be moving soon. Again. Either January 1st (ish) or February 1st (ish). I'm can't wait to get into a house, but the thought of moving AGAIN makes me want to fall to the fetal position and weep for hours. Since 2004 Andy and I have lived in 4, soon to be 5 places. I'm tired of moving!
This turned out to be a total Debbie Downer post! Hmmm...a good update....Oh! Andy made is first sale!! Yay Andy!!! He'll be getting some awesome commission which he totally deserves.

Yay for Andy! Tell him congrats from me!
And, about the weight loss... It can be VERY frustrating, I know. I've been on and off diets since late elementary school (I know, very sad that I started that early - I'm crazy). Anyways, the one thing that I've learned is that reducing your calorie intake is the most effective way to lose weight, so a food diary will be a good tool. Figure out how many calories you're intaking right now, and reduce it by 300 - 500. Just take it slow and don't put a lot of pressure on yourself. You've got a lot to be happy about: a wonderful daughter, a wonderful husband, a wonderful dog, a wonderful family, you're smart, you get to stay at home w/ your daughter, you're hilariously funny, gorgeous, you live in a great city, close to your friends (although you should be here instead!!), plus many many more things...it may seem like weight is everything, but its not. It will come off, I promise!
Way to end on a high note. Yea for Andy. Moving totally sucks. I hope it goes well when you do, and I can't wait to see you when you are here!
I can't wait to hear more about your move Bets! Tuesday cannot come soon enough, really really really looking forward to seeing you guys and catching up!
I just caught up on your blog! Sounds like you have so much going on...we need to hang out soon!
Anyways, yay that Andy made his first sale!! That is awesome.
Bummer you have to move again but you'll love living in a house...I know i wish we did. If you need any help with moving/packing let me know.
Also, glad you found hair conditioner to shave with instead of the other stuff. Isn't it amazing?! I buy the really cheap stuff...like suave at Target. It lasts for a while and so inexpensive.
Congrats to you on going with out mountain dew for 3 weeks. That is amazing!! I need to do that with sugar. I've attempted so many times and only last a couple weeks. But you might be motivating me again to try it. Such will power you have.
As a fellow mom I know how difficult it can be to find the time and energy to work out. So proud of you :) Wish we could work out together. It would be fun to have a work out buddy.
Loved reading all your updates!! :)
