Isla saw her doctor today for her 12 month checkup. She is 31" long and 25lbs. She's in the 95% for both height and weight. I'm not sure I'm ready for the transition into toddler-hood. There are so many changes...whole milk, forward facing car seat, no more bottles...eek! I'm stocking up on books to help me figure this all out! Currently I'm loving The Happiest Toddler on the Block. I never read the baby version, although I've heard many fabulous things about it.

I'm just about done with Isla's baby book. I've abandoned scrafting and moved on to Snapfish baby books. I also finished my special birthday present to Isla: her mommy and me video.

When Isla was tiny I would sing You are my Sunshine to her as she fell asleep. It's our song.

The first year goes by so fast and take it from me the next ones don't go by any slower! Enjoy every moment and soak in all the little things! Love the video too by the way, it will bring tears to your eyes when you go back and watch it in a few years!

So sweet buddy. I can't believe it either, you are the mom of a toddler now, just how in the world that happened so fast is beyond me! You so clearly love being a mom, Isla is so lucky to have you.
