Today is one of those days where I barely have the energy, or desire, to do anything. I fell asleep around 9:30 last night and slept until 10:30 this morning (Andy gets up with Isla at 5:30 and puts her back down for her morning nap before he leaves for work around 8). After lazily playing with Isla for a while, I plopped her in the pack-n-play to read her books and watch Yo Gabba Gabba while I took a much needed shower. Then I had 2 Mt Dews and polished off a bag of potato chips for lunch. Isla is currently down for her afternoon nap, and it's taking a lot of self restraint to go back to bed and nap myself. UGH. I hate days like this! I get so mad at myself for being a lazy slob. When I envisioned being a stay at home mom, there was lots of fun involved...trips to the library, splash park, daily walks, all that fun stuff! We do have days like that, but more often than not, we're here going crazy in our too small apartment. The surgery recovery/crazy health issues I've been dealing with have contributed to this funk. Plus the cloudy weather and Isla's teething and cold combo have been the icing on the cake today.
I was wide awake at 5am this morning. Normal people would get up and shower, maybe make some breakfast, workout?? Well, not me. I laid in bed, wide awake, for over an hour until I forced myself to fall back to sleep. RIDIC.
Anyway, what's done is done. I'm hoping my little fussler will be up for a Target run this afternoon, and maybe we'll head to the park if it doesn't rain. I should at least attempt to turn this day around :)

Oh buddy, SO BEEN THERE. Totally get it. Tomorrow will be better!
Also, good lord I am jealous that you get to sleep that long. That is AMAZING, and Andy is a freaking peach that he gets up with Isla at 5:00, spends the morning with her, and gets her back down before leaving for work. Seriously, give that man a high-five from me!
I couldn't agree more with Alicia, he is the best dad/husband ever! Hope today is going better for you, we all have those days believe me.
I'll let him know you both think he's fabulous :) I'm ridiculously spoiled that is for sure. It doesn't happen every day, but most days he does it so he can spend more time with Isla (since he gets home around 6 most days and she goes to bed around 7).
