Our Daily Routine
Tuesday was one of those days where I had to keep chanting to myself, "You can get through this. You can get through this." Those days are not fun. Isla was fussy ALL DAY LONG. For really no clear reason. I would love to blame it on teething...but I've been doing that forever and nothing has happened. So maybe it was teething? But probably not. Yesterday she was equally fussy. We both go a little crazy when we are trapped inside all day, and this rain isn't helping the situation. I feel like our days have become a constant blur of play time, Yo Gabba Gabba, eating, and napping...over and over again. Andy and I are constantly busting out with the crazy crappy songs from YGG. If I have to hear him sing "I'm so, I'm so sorrrrrrrrrrrrry. I can fix it, I can make it better..." one more time my head may explode. Anyway, so in an effort to mix things up a bit and not fall into the same boring routine I created a schedule! I like schedules and routines. I'll post it eventually, but basically it includes things like sensory play, music time, reading time, learning time, scheduled walks...stuff like that. I feel like I function much better if I have my day planned out. I'm hoping this will help break up the day for Isla and I and get us out of our boring rut. Anyway, when Isla is napping I am supposed to be showering...so I better get on that :)

A schedule is a very good idea! Most of my Thursday I have things planned to do but on the few that I don't we end up just sitting on the couch watching TV all day and I always end up feeling like I totally wasted a good day! Get a zoo membership... we go about twice a month just to get out of the house and do something! And Colton knows more about animals at the age of 3 than I knew when I went to college. Also when she gets a little old start making weekly trips to the library... another thing just to get you out of the house and it is free!!
That is a fabulous idea! I can't wait to hear how it works. I often thought about making a schedule for myself but have of course never done that. Keep us updated!
Great idea, Betsy!
Her fussiness really could be teething. Those first few teeth that come in take FOREVER. In fact, Lincoln finally got one of his front teeth this week. He should have gotten it before his first birthday but for some reason it didn't come in right away. I could see it under the surface for about 4 months before it actually popped through. Even though he got it so late, I think it's pretty normal for the front teeth to take a really long time to surface :(
